Alf Jacques of the Onondaga Nation makes traditional wooden lacrosse sticks in the same workshop he learned the craft alongside his father. The Iroquois and other Native Americans believe lacrosse to be a gift, the Creator's game. The stick is alive with the spirit of the tree, which is transferred to the player. Each stick takes 10 months to more to produce.>
