The Elephant Man

Chuck Doyle is the director of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse, New York. He has been with the zoo for 35 years and is now retiring. He has a very close relationship with the Zoo's elephants, for whom he was responsible during much of his career. Chuck is particularly attached to the oldest elephant, Siri, who has been at the zoo even longer than him. The story touches on his affinity for elephants, his career and his fondness for Siri.>
