Lauren Migaki - NPR Education
Lauren Migaki is a senior producer with NPR’s education desk, currently producing a parenting podcast in collaboration with Sesame Workshop called _Life Kit for Parents_. With the education desk, she has helped cover teacher strikes, school vouchers, college access and produced a four-part series on NPR’s _Code Switch_ podcast about a new high school in Washington DC specifically for young men of color. Prior to that, she spent seven years as a producer, director and night-owl line producer for _Morning Edition_. With the show, she field produced stories in Crimea, Israel and the Brazilian Amazon — and perhaps less glamorously, traveled to Florida many times ahead of the 2016 election. She was also part of the team that developed and launched _Up First,_ NPR’s first-ever daily news podcast. In addition to her duties at Morning Edition, she spent a year producing _Pop Culture Happy Hour_, NPR’s roundtable-style pop culture podcast. In her free time, Lauren spends most of her time making dumb jokes on Twitter — say hi: @lmigaki
