Bryan Cereijo - Univision Network
When I first picked up a camera, I could’ve never imagined the power this tool wields. It has become my passport to other places, cultures, peoples, and the stories I’ve been fortunate to share. Effective visual storytelling allows us to learn about the world through first hand accounts, frame by frame.
I am a Cuban-American visual storyteller from Miami, FL. I graduated from Syracuse University where I double-majored in photojournalism and international relations with a focus in the international political economy of Latin America and the Caribbean.
I am passionate about telling stories visually and I am specifically interested in narratives that relate to sports and culture. I intend for my work to bring attention to specific issues and help promote positive change. My work has received awards in the College Photographer of the Year competition and has been recognized in various NPPA contests. During the summer of 2017, I interned with the Miami Herald. In 2018, I attended the prestigious Eddie Adams Photojournalism Workshop (XXXI). And during the summer of 2019, I was the visuals intern at the News & Observer in Raleigh, North Carolina.
In 2020, I graduated with a master’s degree in visual communications from the University of North Carolina (UNC) – Chapel Hill where I was a Roy H. Park Fellow. Shortly thereafter, I started working for Univision Network as a digital video creator where I produce, film, and edit original content for our digital platforms.
